Save The Date: ASAIF 2019

The Annual Southern Africa Innovation Forum (ASAIF) 2019 will be held in conjunction with the annual Innovation Botswana event on the 19th September 2019 at the Botswana Innovation Hubs Science and Technology Park in Gaborone, Botswana. The ASAIF is the SAIS 2 annual flagship event bringing together business, government, donors, NGOs and communities to share good practice and learn around issues of entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems in the SADC region and internationally. Under the theme "The Future of Entrepreneurship" the program will feature regional and international speakers, presenters and panelists who will  enhance and contribute meaningfully.

This year, SAIS 2 will partner up with Botswana Innovation Hub (BIH) which has hosted Innovation Botswana since 2017, an annual event which aims to  showcase national innovations and to present a platform for dialogue on the critical elements that advances progress of the innovation and entrepreneurship agenda. Held at BIH, the day is a festival of inspiration, creation and innovation that brings together more than 250 stakeholders from civil society, business and academia, public sector and industry to celebrate innovation through exhibitions, thought leadership presentations, panel discussions and networking. The ASAIF will be a track within Innovation Botswana and will also have a showcase of the SAIS 2 Innovation Fund grantees, which are the 12 projects selected for support in the first SAIS Call for Proposals (2018/1).  Registrations for  ASAIF will open 01 July 2019.
