Fostering Entrepreneurship for Industrialisation in the SADC Region at SIW4

Fostering Entrepreneurship for Industrialisation in the SADC Region at SIW4

The Southern Africa Innovation Support Programme (SAIS 2) in partnership with the SADC Secretariat, the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) will be hosting a parallel session on ‘Fostering Entrepreneurship for Industrialisation in the SADC region’ during the 4th SADC Industrialisation Week (SIW), in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. SIW will take place 5-9 August 2019 and is an annual public-private engagement platform aimed at fostering new opportunities for intra-African trade and investment in developing cross border value chains in the region. The 2019 SIW is a joint event between the SADC Secretariat, the SADC Business Council and the Republic of Tanzania. The event is hosted on the margins of the ordinary annual SADC Heads of States and Government Summit. Private sector recommendations and outputs from this event are reported directly to the annual SADC Ministers Meeting, a body which determines policy discussions for Heads of State. The parallel session  to be held on 08 August,  will bring an interactive programme which includes short presentations and a panel discussion with opportunity for Q&A.
